About Us
Israel
Talk to Israel's mother, and she'll tell you he was playing flourishing cover drives before he was even born. No, really - she had the bruised ribs to prove it.
Israel's obsession with sports started at a very young age, and naturally turned into a ridiculously extreme level of competitiveness. Just ask his wife, Kate, when he's transformed yet another walk from the kitchen to the dinner table into a full-blown sprint race. Unfortunately, fends were banned after the first round.
Israel has two motto's -
1) If an activity/event/mundane chore can possibly be turned into a sport/game/competition, do it.
2) If it can't - keep trying.
Chris
Chris was put on this earth for a very specific reason - to watch sport. And then to watch some more.
He'll tell you it's an easy job, but it's a tough life trying to absorb as much sporting knowledge as a human brain can take, without causing it to explode. Look closely, and on his composed game-face you'll see beads of sweat - that's the knowledge trying to force its way out.
Chris, too, takes competition to another level. Once, he challenged a fly to a staring contest - which really should have been captured on video, because the world will probably never get the chance to see a fly blink again.
When Our Powers Combine...
Put these two sport-loving, competitive beings in one room, and it's a recipe for - well, a competition. Over anything.
The guys, after wrapping up a 17-day (to ensure an outright victor) backyard cricket match, head inside for a drink -
Israel - "Hey, just curious - how many steps did you take to get to the couch?"
Chris - "7...you?"
Israel - "Only 5 - that's 1-nil. Oh yes."
Chris - "What? 7 is higher than 5 - I top scored, you lose."
Israel - "That's rubbish - it's about efficiency. I was the most efficient traveller between the door and the couch - it's 1-nil to me."
And so it goes on, until the two are removed from the lounge by Israel's wife, and deposited outside on the deck - where they continue the argument, and look forward to their next 2-day game of force-back.
Ahhhh - the life of a sports addict.
